Starting July 1, 2026, travelers heading from Kyoto to the popular anime-themed park “NARUTO&BORUTO Shinobi-Zato” at Nijigen no Mori on Awaji Island will have a more convenient travel option. A new direct bus ticket package will soon offer a combination of round-trip highway bus service between Kyoto Station and Awaji I.C. along with entry to the anime attraction, streamlining the day-trip experience for both local and international visitors without the hassle of transfers.
The highway bus journey from Kyoto to Awaji Island takes about 90 minutes, allowing passengers to enjoy scenic views of bridges and the sea before arriving near the park. Once there, ticket holders can access two main attractions: the three-dimensional maze “Heaven’s Scroll (Ten no Maki)” and the “Earth Scroll (Chi no Maki)” mission rally. This package aims to enhance accessibility to the park, which brings the world of ninja anime to life with features inspired by the Hidden Leaf Village, character displays, and interactive training activities.
Available exclusively for weekday travel, the direct bus service excludes major holiday periods, with adult tickets priced at 8,200 yen and children’s tickets at 4,250 yen, inclusive of taxes. Tickets can be purchased through online sales platforms, with travelers required to exchange them at the Kyoto Bus Ticket Center before boarding. This service is expected to attract anime fans and tourists seeking a distinctive summer travel experience in Japan.
Located within Nijigen no Mori, “NARUTO&BORUTO Shinobi-Zato” is part of a park that integrates Japanese anime culture with outdoor entertainment offerings. Situated on Awaji Island, the park provides visitors an immersive experience in a natural setting, with attractions based on well-known Japanese entertainment franchises. The new bus package aims to boost accessibility to this unique destination, making it more appealing to those eager to explore the intersection of anime and nature.
