Trump Signals “Final Phase” of Iran Conflict Amid Market Volatility

by admin477351

President Donald Trump has suggested that the U.S.-Israeli war with Iran is entering its final stages, describing the military’s progress as “very far ahead” of his initial estimates. Trump claimed that the Iranian military has “shot everything they have to shoot” and is currently incapable of a sustained defense. The President’s comments provided a brief rally for global markets, which had been reeling from high energy prices.

The war, which began on February 28, has seen the destruction of key Iranian military assets and the death of its former leader. Trump has remained critical of the successor, Mojtaba Khamenei, stating that he does not expect the new regime to last. He argued that the current leadership is a “terrorist regime” that cannot be allowed to hold the world hostage.

Maritime intelligence reports indicate that only Iranian-flagged vessels are currently attempting to transit the Strait of Hormuz. Trump warned that any interference with international shipping would result in a retaliation of “incalculable” size. He emphasized that the U.S. Navy is prepared to take whatever steps are necessary to keep the vital trade route open.

Domestically, the President has faced questions regarding the lack of Congressional approval for the “excursion.” Trump defended the action as a defensive necessity, citing intelligence that an Iranian strike was imminent. He noted that the U.S. military has done an “amazing” job in neutralizing the threat in just ten days.

As the campaign continues, the focus has shifted to the potential for strikes on Iran’s electrical production sites. Trump stated that while the U.S. is not looking to destroy basic infrastructure, it will do so if the regime continues to disrupt global oil supplies. The world remains focused on whether the “short-term excursion” will indeed conclude within the coming days.
