SAKEANI JAPAN Announces 2026 Subscription Launch for Sake and Shochu

by admin477351

SAKEANI JAPAN Inc. is set to roll out a unique subscription service, “Kokushu Seijo,” in September 2026, blending the enjoyment of Japanese sake and shochu with enriching audio narratives. Subscribers will enjoy four seasonal deliveries of these traditional beverages each year, accompanied by exclusive audio content narrated by professional voice actors. These programs will delve into the stories of the breweries, their brewing techniques, and the historical and cultural contexts surrounding them, providing an educational layer to the tasting experience.

The subscription emerges from “MIZUNO MANIMANI,” an original story project centered on a fictional water dragon deity and spirits tied to Japanese breweries. There’s also potential for this narrative to expand into an animated adaptation. The concept was born from insights gathered during a launch event in Tokyo in December 2025. The event drew about 5,800 visitors, and a survey of 511 attendees revealed a significant interest in learning about the cultural heritage of Japanese sake, with many expressing a preference for voice actor narrations over character-based entertainment.

SAKEANI JAPAN, established in March 2026, has ambitious plans to extend “Kokushu Seijo” beyond Japan. The company will take its first international steps at JapanFest in Atlanta, where it will promote Japanese culture and its traditional alcoholic beverages. To facilitate overseas expansion, the company is engaging in discussions with potential partners across distribution, media, events, and the entertainment industry.

Headquartered in Tokyo, SAKEANI JAPAN operates across various sectors, including event production, digital content creation, e-commerce, alcoholic beverage sales, and cultural business development. The company’s innovative approach aims to not only provide a unique drinking experience but also to foster a deeper appreciation and understanding of the rich traditions behind Japanese sake and shochu.
